Even if Victorian poetry isn't your interest, the architecture is worth the 15-minute visit. It's also one of the quietest study spots on campus, which incoming students should note.
The Baylor Bears Habitat
Located near McLane Stadium, Baylor's resident live mascots — Bruiser and Marigold, American black bears — are viewable at their habitat daily from 9am–5pm. It's free, takes about 10 minutes, and every prospective student should see them at least once before making an enrollment decision.
The S 8th Street Corridor
After the official tour, walk south from the Hurd Welcome Center toward S 8th Street.
